She was a member of the FEI panel of international candidate judges for Endurance Riding, represented the sport on the BHS Training and Education Committee and served five years on the BHS Endurance Riding Group Committee, before standing down to concentrate on training. She is the author of several equestrian books. With her most successful horse, Rani Tarina, she was selected for the British Novice team in 1992, long-listed for the European Championship team in 1993 and won the Arab Horse Society Endurance trophy in 1993. Born and raised in Dartmoor, where she rode shepherding ponies, Marcy then lived with her husband
Tony Pavord
