« The Australian Racing Board requires that all jockeys wear a protective vest when racing in Australia. This project evaluates concerns expressed by jockeys that the Australian type of protective vest that they wear may increase the risk of neck injury in the event of a fall. However, neither of the vests examined appear to have any characteristics which could be expected to increase the risk of neck injury to the wearer in the event of the jockey being unseated or the horse falling. » Présentation de l’éditeur (2004)
