« It having been suggested by some Gentlemen, who have lately purchased new Carriages, and may not have occasion for another new purchase, that it would be convenient for them to have the Supplement by itself, in order to direct them in a proper manner how to preserve, or repair, the Carriage or Carriages they are already possessed of; or if their inclination should lead them to adopt the custom of hiring, that they may have the benefit of such instructions as are there given on that subject.
