We know of no writings so thoroughly practical and useful, and so completely covering the subject, as the various papers of Col. Geo. E. Waring, Jr., heretofore printed in the American Agriculturist . We have accordingly brought these together in the present volume, supplementing them with a small work by E. L. Anderson, who is in England regarded as a standard authority.
