Centenary of Nuno Oliveira’s Birth – Symposium
The World Horse Library is pleased to invite you to a new event, this time to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Nuno Oliveira (1925–1989).
The event will take place on Friday, October 17, in Saumur, within the walls of the Bouvet-Ladubay Theater, throughout a rich and engaging morning.
Our guest speakers, who knew the Portuguese "Master" in various capacities, will help us discover the many facets of this exceptional horseman and remarkable personality. Nuno Oliveira practiced, taught, and embodied classical dressage in the 20th century like no one else. A true artist! Perhaps even more relevant today than ever before.
You will likely come to the same conclusion after listening to contributions from Laurent Desprez, Patrice Franchet d’Espèrey, Christian Carde, Guillaume Henry, and João Pedro Rodrigues, Chief Rider of the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art (EPAE).
After the talks, we invite you to continue the conversation over a cocktail-lunch, which will be held in the underground cellars of our host—magnificent chambers carved into the tuffeau stone, like a sunken cathedral.
Looking forward to welcoming you there to share this enduring passion, we invite you to explore the detailed program of the morning and to register (participation required for lunch) at the following link:
