A.-S. Rieth receives the French Mission for Equestrian Culture Award
This Friday, 6 December, was the first day of the ‘premiere’ of the ‘new look’ Paris Horse Show, after 15 years of absence, Porte de Versailles (2009), and four years of total interruption (2020, Villepinte). And it was the first of the Scientific Awards of La Mission française pour la culture équestre . It was presented to Anne-Sophie Rieth for her thesis entitled Les Traités d'équitation en France (XVIe-XVIIIe); Histoire de la mise en écriture de l'art équestre by Corinne Delhay, President of the Scientific Committee, and Alain Francqueville , President of La Mission.
Cheval Magazine welcomed the winner, her friends, supporters and members of the jury to its stadium, and was delighted to be “able to highlight a work that coincides perfectly with the very purpose of the MFCE and contributes significantly to a better understanding of the treatises on equestrian art of the modern era (1593-1778) at the heart of the construction of Europe”.
A rider (holder of a BPJEPS) from a young age and an academic (Doctor of History, University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), Anne Sophie Rieth's work was rewarded with a cheque for €3,000.
