« The International Horse Shows of 1907 and 1908 having proved that Continental methods
of horse training give excellent results, I take the liberty of publishing this small
volume, the contents of which are the outcome of several years’ study and practice,
undertaken with the object of finding out to what extent the higher training of the
riding schools in London and Paris, based on the teaching of the best authorities,
is of practical use in open air horsemanship, and in helping to make a horse into
a good hack and hunter.
